Monkey dust was a very (no really) dark adult animated series shown in the UK from 2003 until 2005 and written by Shaun Pye and Harry Thompson who sadly died of a terminal illness in 2005. Depressing themes aside it featured some interesting use of music including Goldfrapp & others. The theme tune was “That’s not really funny: by Eels. If you have not heard the full version which does have words and you liked the series (or just liked the theme) then I would recommend seeking it out as the lyrics would have been equally apt for the series itself.
