I’m sure somebody thinks this is the best thing since sliced bread (and sliced bread isn’t that ground breaking really). I’m a little disappointed that they haven’t got round to inventing one of those wonderful devices that you sometimes see in science fiction where you order a blueberry flavoured yorkshire pudding with curry ice cream and zippo (zippo?) it just appears. The ultimate failure of science and technology to give us anything really useful (c’mon pull your finger out!!). Imagine the impact on kitchens if they ever get off their collective derrieres and stop wasting their time on stop gap devices like this, handy though I’m sure it is for truck man here.
I would like to take issue with the statement “microwaves have been around for…like forever” though I sort of know what he means.

And take your microwave with you « Stuffem-Up the hill backwards
Personally, I always take cheese (vegetarian) sandwiches for lunch when I’m working. Still, to each, his or her own.
Would I buy one? Maybe, if they bring out a solar-powered one that also boils a kettle
Don’t talk to me about cheese as it’s one of my big weaknesses. There’s an awful low of veggie friendly cheese out there now.
It is amazing that you could run a microwave off of a 12v source.
