Rubber Soul Font Artwork Up For Auction

Charles Front was paid 26 guineas and five shillings (don’t ask, all I know is that was not a huge sum of money) for the lettering used on the cover of the Beatles Rubber Soul Album. On Wednesday 20th June it will be up for auction at Bonhams in London with a guide price of £10,000. Front had taken the lettering casually to Bonhams in a carrier bag via the underground but returned home clutching it in a secure case after having been told the potential value.
