We all rejoice that he has been released unharmed. I don’t know how traumatized he is by the experience which sounds very frightening. I hope he recovers very soon. I imagine that something as ordinary as doing the weekly shop at Sainsbury’s would seem pretty good to him at the moment
It’s such great news that he’s been released. His interviews since have oozed charm - he even went as far as to say he was luckier than many hostages as he had a radio to listen to his friends on the world service while he was being held. A true pro indeed.

It’s always moving to see any hostages released. I hope the Beeb appreciate his humanity and professionalism.
