Fierce Creatures Dreamed

Wild cats and dangerous animals was the product of last nights dream factory experience.

We seemed to be living or staying with my parents (say wha…) and it was I that discovered that each room had hidden wild creatures within them. A large tiger was contained within the bedroom along with its young whilst lesser domestic animals and exotica would live alongside household members in other rooms.

The key was to keep each room door closed and never let them mix and above all don’t provoke the wild animals.Conflicts had reportedly occurred previously and injuries to family members and pets sustained.

In the midst of juggling all this a group of people from my past knocked at the front door intent on speaking with me, all of them smoking and so we wouldn’t let them in, much to their selfish incredulity so we arranged to let them in the garden in an act of muted unenthusiastic hospitality. I wasn’t keen to see these people but my parents had ushered them into the garden.

I was then called away to deal with the tiger (more like a liger, something I’d seen on the telly that day) that was reportedly mauling a family member. This was clearly a very quick dream as I awoke upon finding the creature in the midst of mauling.

This is the first dream for a long while that I can track all the images within it to events from the ‘real world’ day resulting in a dream remix of some images and themes encountered.

  1. I can only approve of dreams about tigers, of course.

Your dream has many fascinating elements and it would be interesting to know what they all mean. I suspect (I put it no higher) that forces trapped in rooms are symbolic of impulses in one’s own mind. Perhaps you feel there are powerful forces inside you that are struggling to express themselves and you are trying to suppress them for fear of the hurt and damage they might cause to others.

You may have some inkling what these are or the penny may soon drop.

Good luck and say hello from me to the tiger next time you meet.
