I recently tried out another web based desktop service called Jooce which shows promise but does not as yet contain the ‘killer app’ web based applications that I’d originally seen touted at the time of Jooce taking my interest (things often change by the time they get to release).
Currently a user can add a handful of AIM, Yahoo, Jooce, ICQ and MSN contacts and upload audio, video, pictures and selectively share files from their desktop/Joocetop (one is private, the other is public) which you switch between with a pseudo mini compiz/beryl type desktop effect.
