102 Days And A Discount For Early Payment
“If I billed them on the first of January, the 75 days wouldn’t start ticking until the first of February so in effect they were taking 102 days – then they took a 2.5% discount for being kind enough to pay me in 102 days which is crazy!”
Jenny Lees who runs a dental supplies firm in Herefordshire tells how she was told last April by the pharmaceutical retailer Boots that they would be increasing the maximum time they would pay her from 30 to 75 days.

Throwing The Book At Vinyl
The recycling of older technology continues with these journals featuring covers made from old LP vinyl records (nothing rare I hope). We’ve already seen compact cassettes remodelled around money purses and belt buckles so this is just another reincarnation for the old ‘liquorice pizzas’. Personally I’d loved to see the same thing with covers made from shiny old silver laser discs. Bit too niche maybe?

Trimphone Past Tech
We never had a trimphone. Just one of those standard green phones. Remember button phones before digital exchanges? Bang bang bang on the buttons and then wait for the exchange to catch up. We used to be able to dial a number by just playing number morese code on the receiver bars.
