Tape Archive: Paddy McAloon Interview 1985

This is the 2nd Prefab Sprout Interview I have from 1985 which takes place after the previously posted session . Paddy McAloon seems quite enthused by Thomas Dolby’s production of the Steve McQueen album and is already dismissive of how well previous album Swoon would stand up in 1985′s move towards a more heavily produced sound.

This 1985 session continues with Bonny, a short interview and then a rendition of Faron Young which were all from the 1985 album Steve McQueen. Recently Prefab Sprout had to cancel touring as singer Paddy McAloon was diagnosed with menieres which I cope with myself and it isn’t fun adjusting especially if music has been an integral part of your life so my best wishes go out to you Paddy.
