MGMT-Time To Pretend
It’s been around ages (a previous but mellower sounding version was around in 2005) but I still have this song pinging around my mind.Steve Lillywhite called them the future of pop music a short while ago which may well be self-serving hyperbole as he signed the band originally. I just love distorted drums (from AON to MGMT) and don’t think a song has made me tearfully empathise quite so much with how it can feel for a younger generation in the world today. Generation X have hardly made it an easier place for generation Y.
