In Australia what we in Britain refer to as charity shops are known as ‘op shops’ where op is opportunity.

  1. So funny you should post this as it took me ages to work out what the “op shop bin” at the school was. I kept looking to see what people put in it. I guessed it was a charity thing but never got round to asking or looking up what the “op” stood for.
